Hello, I'm Abigail Shamelashvili, a passionate UX Researcher with over 5+ years of experience in quantitative and qualitiative research. I've led various projects with a focus on user-centered design. Let's connect!

My path into UX research began with a deep interest in understanding how people think and navigate complex situations. Through my background in psychology and hands-on experience working with individuals across diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures, and abilities, I saw how often systems fail to meet real user needs, especially for those who don’t fit the “average” user profile. Whether supporting individuals in structured programs or navigating sensitive, high-stakes environments, I consistently observed moments where confusion, lack of clarity, or poor design created unnecessary barriers.
These experiences shaped how I approach research today. I became less interested in ideal user flows and more focused on the edge cases, ultimately leading to the moments where people struggle, hesitate, or disengage. I learned that these moments often reveal the most meaningful opportunities for improvement. Rather than seeing them as exceptions, I view them as critical insights into how systems can be more inclusive, intuitive, and effective.
UX research became a natural extension of this perspective. It gave me the tools to take what I was observing in real-world contexts and apply it to digital experiences in a structured, impactful way. Today, I approach every project with a focus on understanding behavior, identifying friction, and designing solutions that work not just in theory, but in the complexity of real life.
